Plantations, shelterbelts, dangerous and oversized trees felled safely at scale across Surrey, London & the South East. City & Guilds L3 for trees over 760mm, own crane and harvester, £10m cover.
There's a clear line between a garden tree surgeon and a forestry felling crew. We sit firmly on the forestry side: plantations and shelterbelts, multiple acres of standing crop, and the dangerous, oversized and storm-damaged stems that general firms turn down.
Edward holds City & Guilds Level 3 (0039-34) for the felling and processing of trees over 760mm — the qualification most tree firms don't carry — and we bring our own crane, harvester, forwarder and rigging to do it safely.
Every job starts with an honest assessment of what's safe and how we'd approach it. Where access is tight or stems are hung-up or under tension, that planning is the difference between a clean job and an incident.
See how we'd fell it →Plantation, shelterbelt or a tree too big and dangerous for the local firm? We fell at scale, safely.
Commercial felling isn't just dropping trees — it's doing it legally and leaving the site right. We check felling-licence thresholds, TPOs and conservation-area constraints, and we apply for and manage the licence so the job is compliant from day one.
Felled timber is cut to length and stacked roadside or extracted with the forwarder; saleable stems are bought from you or offset against the cost, and brash is chipped or mulched on site rather than carted away.
For domestic single-tree removals in a garden, our arboriculture team handles those on the large tree removal page — this service is for forestry-scale and difficult work.
Walkover within 48 hours; we assess safety, access and constraints.
Felling licence and TPO checks managed; fixed written quote with timber offset.
Sectioned, dismantled or straight-felled with our own crane and harvester.
Timber stacked or extracted, brash chipped on site, ground left clean.
Every job is run by one qualified crew on our own fleet. Explore the rest of the offshoot — or call and we'll point you to the right service.

Domestic tree surgery is a single garden tree. This is volume and difficult felling — plantations, shelterbelts, dangerous or storm-damaged stems and oversized trees. Edward holds City & Guilds Level 3 (0039-34) for felling and processing trees over 760mm, which most general tree firms don't carry.
Yes — the large, leaning, hung-up and difficult stems other contractors decline. We section, dismantle or straight-fell using our own crane, harvester and rigging, and we'll tell you straight what's safe and how we'd do it.
For anything beyond a few trees, usually — felling over 5m³ in a quarter generally needs a Forestry Commission licence, and there may be TPOs or conservation-area rules. We check and manage all of it before work starts.
Saleable stems are cut to length and stacked roadside or bought from you; the rest is chipped or mulched on site. Where there's value, we offset it against the felling cost.
